Born in 1961, Olivier Barot studied photography in France
with a friend and then by himself.

In 1991, he settled in Auroville, South India, an
international city created by the Mother, and "dedicated
to material and spiritual researches for a living
embodiment of an actual Human Unity."

As a photographer, he became fascinated by the spiritual
dimension of India, the beauty of its landscapes, people, art
and ancient culture.
